Brass Band Association of New Zealand Inc.

BBANZ is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to promote the teaching and performance of brass and percussion instruments through brass bands. The Association represents 55 community-based brass bands and seven District Associations throughout New Zealand. That’s over 1900 brass and percussion musicians of all ages actively involved in making music.

BBANZ supports community bands by organising the annual National Championships, training and education programmes as well as bringing together the best players to form representative bands such as the National Secondary Schools’ Brass Band, the National Youth Band and the National Brass Band of New Zealand.
