Independent Music New Zealand

Providing a voice for the interests of ­New Zealand independent recording labels and distributors including: ­weekly charts and newsletter, ­negotiating for services, as well as liaising with other independent ­associations worldwide.

IMNZ’s three core goals are to advocate the interests of our members and the ­independent sector to government and other ­relevant organisations, aid the ­development of our members by ­holding up-skilling workshops and ­seminars and to provide collective group benefits/ ­discounts.
We achieve these goals through numerous projects such as the Going Global Music Summit, the Going Local NZ series, IMNZ Socials, the Taite Music Prize and others. See our website for information on how to join and membership criteria.
